SMART TABS; A player-redeemable pull tab dispensable from any standard pull tab dispensing device. What makes SMART TABS different is the unique barcode printed on each pull tab. It runs along the edge of the pull tab, next to the game symbols, and is only visible after removing the perforated tabs.

SMART TABS requires the installation of a small motorized SMART TAB reader to each dispensing device. The SMART TAB reader installs and appears similar to a bill validator. When a player inserts a winning pull tab into the SMART TAB reader, the device reads the barcode and credits the winning amount to the dispensing device. The player can now redeem those credits for additional play.
